Growing Cannabis Plants with a 100w LED: Simple Tips
The chart we have is a good starting point, but since we're using a 100w LED light to grow plants, we'll need to make some adjustments. Here's the deal:
The light isn't as strong as some others, so we'll need to:
Move it closer to the plants: This helps them get enough light to grow.
Give them more time to grow before flowering: This is especially important for the "veg" stage.
Here's what to do for each stage:
Seeds Sprouting: Follow the chart exactly. Keep the light fairly high and dim, and leave it on for 18 hours a day.
Seedlings: Start with the light a bit closer and not as dim. As your plant gets bigger, move the light closer and brighter. Keep it on for 18 hours a day.
Growing Big (Veg): Move the light even closer and make it as bright as it goes. Keep it on for 18 hours a day.
Making Buds (Flower): Keep the light super close and bright. Now, only leave it on for 12 hours a day.
Important things to remember:
Watch the plants: If they look bleached or burnt, the light is too close. If they're stretching out and look leggy, the light is too far away.
Don't let things get too hot: LEDs don't usually get too hot, but be careful when the light is close to the plants.
If there are more plants, one 100w LED might not be enough.
