Can An LED Grow Light Be Too Bright For Indoor Seedlings?

It depends on the wattage. Most grow lights like 100 watts or 200 watts can be used for seedlings.

The key is keeping the right distance between the light and the seedlings.

For a 100 or 200 watt LED grow light, start with the light around 24-30 inches above the newly sprouted seedlings.

As the seedlings grow taller, you can lower the light down to about 18-24 inches above them.

So regular 100 or 200 watt LED grow lights won't be too bright for little seedlings, as long as you position the light high enough at first.

Then you can lower it closer as the seedlings get bigger and can handle more intense lighting.
